After three years out of the spotlight, former Best Actor Feng Mian returned to the scene, only to be tricked by his agent into taking a minor role in a TV adaptation of a hugely popular IP.
The script had been changed beyond recognition: the plot was a mess, the characters were all wrong, and, most absurdly, the most popular character in the original, the heroic marshal of the Interstellar Empire who died in battle, had been given a spouse who didn't exist in the book.
As this entirely nonexistent spouse, Feng Mian was accused by fans of transmigrating on the very night filming began.
-
On the first day after transmigrating into a book, Feng Mian was mistaken for an illegal intruder and threatened with a trip to a space junkyard unless he revealed his real identity.
On the second day, Feng Mian picked up the script and decided to faithfully play the nonexistent widower of the fallen marshal of the Interstellar Empire.
Feng Mian moved into the marshal's residence and put all his acting skills to work every day, doing his utmost to play the devoted widower. He cared for the marshal's family, comforted his subordinates, burned incense for him, and scooped his cat's litter box.
Holding the cat, Feng Mian faced the interview cameras and tearfully recalled 1,001 little moments of love he had shared with the marshal.
Everything was perfectly normal.
Except the marshal's cat had inexplicably stopped grooming itself.
-
After the Interstellar Empire marshal Sheng Cang fell unconscious in battle, an accident left his consciousness attached to his own cat. He watched helplessly as a smooth-talking impostor moved into his home.
The impostor held him down to brush his fur, chased after him with food, and cuddled him to sleep.
He even lifted his tail to check his sex.
A disgrace beyond measure.
Before they could take him to be neutered, Sheng Cang decided to summon all his willpower, come back to life, and reclaim his home.
Then he'd make the impostor do all 1,001 things he'd claimed they had done together.
