Even a Kept Lover Can Help Out an Ex-Boyfriend

Five years ago, Song Shengye was at the end of his rope and accepted Pei Jinchuan's offer to become his lover. Later, he realized that Pei Jinchuan was a mad dog who wouldn't let go once he had bitten down. He tore up the contract and resolutely walked out of Pei Jinchuan's world. Five years later, Song Shengye was at the end of his rope again. After thinking it over, he decided that living off someone else's money was still the surest way to reach the top. He just didn't expect to spot his former sugar daddy among the many competitors in the private room of his future patron. Song Shengye: "??!" The person beside him leaned over to fill him in. "That guy is the chairman of XX Group. The group went bankrupt later..." Song Shengye felt conflicted. #Three years apart, and somehow my former sugar daddy has become my competition# #What do I do? He looks like he can barely afford food. Should I give him this opportunity?# * Pei Jinchuan had been separated from his ex-boyfriend for three years. Three years later, he ran into him by chance. But he had promised to give him his freedom, so no matter how much he longed for him, he ordered himself to keep his distance. He never expected his ex-boyfriend to approach him first. After hesitating and lingering for a long while, he finally stammered, "I heard XX Group went bankrupt?" Pei Jinchuan's heart pounded. He didn't hear a word of what the other man said and just answered at random. "Yeah." Then his little ex-boyfriend looked troubled. After a long pause, he seemed to summon all his courage and suggested, "Why don't you drop out? With our relationship, it wouldn't look good if we competed against each other here." "How about this: if I get picked, I'll give you one-tenth of my commission every month?" Pei Jinchuan: "??!" After thinking it over, Pei Jinchuan: "…" He understood. His little ex-boyfriend thought he was broke and, out of pity, had invited him to [use my patron's money to support you]. * A friend asked Pei Jinchuan, "I wonder what kind of spell that little canary put on you. The head of the Pei family is pretending to be poor now, too." Pei Jinchuan said gravely, "You don't understand. He's very good at baiting people." Then his friend saw it for himself. Song Shengye stepped into the private room, wearing the plainest faded white shirt and jeans. He merely took a breath. Pei Jinchuan gave a soft scoff. "What a masterful move." * A genuinely wealthy, obsessive top who has something wrong with his head x a pitiful bottom with a wonderfully unconventional way of thinking. Theme: The light never fades
