Mingyue was a corporate drone who worked herself to the bone every day. After several years of hard work, she was finally able to buy a used car, only to fall into a drain while picking it up in the rain. She crawled out with one foot in the grave and was struck dead by lightning on the spot. And so Mingyue died, aged nineteen. “A-Yue! A-Yue! Mingyue!” A red-haired boy shook her frantically. “You’re finally awake! You scared me to death. I thought I’d killed you. Thank goodness I don’t have to go to prison.” Kid, that’s not exactly the right thing to say. Before she could react, a chubby boy came running over, thump thump. “Fei! Is A-Yue awake?” Wait. Fei? Blue Arc Middle School? Huo Linfei? Super Beast Armor!! That world where might makes right and everyone quotes Nietzsche? “Fei, why did she faint again?” Don’t save me. Just let me die. Even a soldier can knock me flying. How is a weakling like me supposed to survive? She thought that was the end of it. But… The night Lion King came to seize the Key of Xuanming, Mingyue had planned to cling to Huo Linfei’s protagonist aura and avoid the falling buildings. But she still ended up entangled in the plot. “Mingyue.” “Long time no see.” …Damn it! Why did she have connections to people from the Netherworld too? There was no going back to being an extra now. Anyway, how was she supposed to avoid the plot? At this rate, she’d lose her life sooner or later. Somebody save me!
