Synopsis:
One is a princess from an enemy kingdom, the other a discarded daughter of a marquis's household. These two "runaway brides" had nothing to do with each other, but fate brought them together in a ruined temple. Neither expected that their attempt to sabotage the other would send each of them to the wrong bridal sedan chair, where they would marry the right person.
The Xinghe Story:
Chu Tianxing swore to protect his single-guy pride, remain the only holdout among his brothers, and never marry.
Then his new bride arrived.
Chu Tianxing put his hands on his hips and rose onto his toes. "We have to lay down the rules for her!"
Later, Yinhe took control of the household finances, and all the maids and servants pledged themselves to the young madam. Chu Tianxing was left with no one at his side.
Yinhe sat calmly in the main hall and stirred her tea. "It really is time we laid down some rules for the young master."
The Qingxue Story:
Prince Jing, Xiao Yunqing, had a red birthmark in his heart, a secret he had kept hidden from everyone.
Then one day, he saw the same red birthmark on the palm of his new princess's hand, and went mad.
"Have you ever been to Great Zhou, Princess?"
His grip on her wrist hurt, but Sha Qianxue endured it and forced a smile as she lied. "Your Highness must be joking. I've always lived in the Great Wan palace. I've never been to Great Zhou."
Xiao Yunqing narrowed his eyes. "Is that so? But I feel as if I've known you for a long time."
Sha Qianxue's heart gave a jolt. Had her identity been exposed?
