Every day, Tuanzi endured hunger through the long passage of time. To fill its belly, it could only take up residence inside a human. By controlling its Host's body and making them do things wildly out of character, it generated energy to satisfy its hunger.
Since ordinary humans produced so little energy that it wasn't even enough to tide Tuanzi over, it set its sights on a group of people who called themselves "sorcerers" and "cursed spirits."

Teen Geto didn't know who had woken him from his sleep. When he came to, he found himself in a place shrouded in darkness.
There was nothing there but a pink ball and a chair to keep him company.
Teen Geto: Are you a cursed spirit here?
Tuanzi: No way! Tuanzi is a slime.
Teen Geto couldn't help laughing at the little thing. Though he was trapped here, having such an innocent little companion didn't seem so bad.
Tuanzi: Geto! Someone's bullying me.
Teen Geto: Who could be so awful?
Tuanzi: A white-haired human!!!
That human never does anything out of character, so Tuanzi can't get enough to eat. He's just too awful!
Teen Geto: ...
Give it up! (Sighs helplessly)
Tuanzi: Even you won't help me.
Waaah, (bursts into tears)
Teen Geto never imagined that one day in the future, this little creature before him would become his second ray of light.
