After Being Hunted, I Took on a New Secret Identity as Everyone's Favorite

The demonic cultivator Xia Ji went to great lengths to collect the Six Great Spirit Roots so she could ascend to the Ninth Heaven and forge herself a perfect immortal body, severing all ties with her past.

But on the eve of her ascension, the righteous sects surrounded her. Refusing to submit, she detonated herself before dying, scattering the Six Great Spirit Roots across the Nine Wastes Continent.

Fortunately, she had an avatar in the mortal world, leaving her with a thread of life.

Only after her soul attached itself to that avatar did Xia Ji realize that, unlike her original self, who was reviled by everyone, this wisp of soul she had once split off had done quite well in the mortal world and was well-liked.

And the Six Great Spirit Roots had each fallen into the hands of different people.
