Heartache

[Blurb]

Lin Xin, a cardiothoracic surgeon, receives a letter from a female patient she once treated. The letter reveals a secret that has been hidden in her maternal grandmother's family for more than thirty years.

Lin Xin sets out to uncover the truth. But after going through so much trouble to find the patient who wrote to her, she learns that the woman died in an accident a week ago.

From that day on, strange things keep happening around Lin Xin.

[The fun version]

Li Rui returns from studying overseas and, against the odds, becomes head of cardiothoracic surgery at Renxin Hospital. There, he runs into Lin Xin, the "ex-girlfriend" who dumped him years ago.

Lin Xin thinks that now that she's run into her "nemesis" again, Li Rui will settle every old score.

When he sees that Lin Xin is plagued by strange occurrences, Li Rui, "putting the past behind them," takes her in at his mansion.

Facing Lin Xin, Li Rui says impassively, "I just don't want to be the one who has to collect your body!"

When his colleagues ask what's going on, Li Rui declares, "Lin Xin is my fiancée!"

Lin Xin asks, "When did I agree to marry you?"

Li Rui replies, "Because I want to marry you, you have to marry me!"

"Get lost..."
