Back to the Day My Husband Lost the Battle

In her previous life, after Zhao Jingxing fell from power, Su Wan followed her parents' wishes and remarried. She had no idea she was entrusting herself to the wrong man, and died in misery before she turned thirty. Reborn, she returned to the first month of her marriage to Zhao Jingxing. Zhao Jingxing had just lost a battle. Their newlywed home had become a farmhouse outside the city, her husband was gravely wounded and close to death, and a group of old and weak soldiers was nearly starving to death. Su Wan lifted the lid of the rice jar in the corner and saw there was not enough rice left for a single bowl. Her family came to persuade her to remarry and become the wife of the chief minister in the capital. Su Wan remembered the endless strife in the inner courtyards of her previous life, then recalled how it was this one-armed brute and those crippled, defeated soldiers who, in her previous life, had led thousands of soldiers and forged the last line of defense protecting the Huai Dynasty with their own flesh and blood. How could a scheming minister compare to a general who defended the borders and protected the land? Without hesitation, Su Wan took off her brocade dress, picked up a rice scoop, and took on the responsibility of looking after this little army! All Su Wan had intended was to stay with these heroic men to the end. But one journey led to another, and Zhao Jingxing united the realm and became its supreme ruler, while she became the beloved empress at his side, celebrated throughout history. PS: I'm terrible at writing blurbs and can't think of anything better. This will have to do... 1. A story about striving, with a little sweetness. The hero loves only the heroine in both lives and dotes on her to no end. 2. The blurb sounds tragic, but the story is actually sweet. Theme: When choosing whom to marry, women should keep their eyes open and choose someone who treats them well
