[Word of Honor] Head Bowed, Thinking of Gu Xiang

Word has it that Ghost Valley, destroyed many years ago, has recently reappeared in the martial world, and its young master is a woman. She has thrown the whole world into chaos, all to find one thing. Some say she is searching for a chest of gold and jewels. Others say she wants the famed Glazed Armor that once shook the world. And some go so far as to claim she is looking for a handsome man. The former Ghost Valley master, who had been living in seclusion on Mount Changming, couldn't take it anymore. He went down the mountain with his wife, no, with his confidante, to find out what was going on. I've only watched the drama, not read the book. I'm a drama fan, and Gong Jun's Wen Kexing is my new favorite. Wen Kexing and Gu Xiang's family-like bond absolutely wrecked me, and I'm still mourning it over and over. Updates are irregular. The pairing is Cao Weining x Gu Xiang, told from Gu Xiang's first-person perspective. Any out-of-character writing is on me, so don't overthink it. ☆ You can think of it this way: Cao Weining failed to meet Gu Xiang at the Bridge of Helplessness, so she refused to drink Meng Po's Soup and enter the cycle of reincarnation. Instead, she walked back from the Underworld to the human world, step by step. ☆ I changed the title to one that fits better and makes the protagonist obvious at a glance. Hehehe. There'll be a little angst along the way, but the ending is very sweet and happy. A happy ending is all that matters. The main focus is the parents' romance, the father-daughter bond, and the romance between the daughter and son-in-law, with the occasional monster to fight, person to rescue, thief to catch, or case to investigate. Theme: Making up for Wen Kexing and A Xiang's regrets.
