Split Personality

Su Changli has dissociative identity disorder.

After he was diagnosed and his younger sister went missing, Su Changli tried to get news of her from the ghosts that wandered everywhere. Somehow, he became a well-known "babysitter" in the ghost community.

Ghosts of all kinds are awfully fond of Su Changli. Whenever something happens, they all come running to his place. From murder and arson to a cold or a fever, they all show up right in front of him:

"Look, I'm going to kill someone. You'd better catch me."

"Look, I have a fever. Hurry and take a look at me."

Su Changli: "..."

So his storage room ended up packed with ghosts who wanted to "cuddle up" to him.

Fine, ghosts being a nuisance is one thing, but what's with his personalities being so restless, too?

One personality borrowed his body to fall in love. Another fell in love while inside his body.

And yet another... wants to fall in love with him?!

Fake dissociative identity (Su Changli) x fake personality (Su Yi)

● Lots of hands-on ghostbusting. Su Changli's individual combat ability is basically the strongest in the whole book. His personality is intermittently outgoing (when he's not, he's still very gentle).

● Su Yi has little screen time early on, since he's still a "personality" inside Su Changli's body.

● Ghosts are a new species in this setting. After dying, ghosts gradually forget their memories from life, and the only thing they remember is their obsession. Ghosts feel more at home with one another. When people die and become ghosts, they have in fact become another species (this probably counts as a personal setting), so ghosts are almost never referred to by the names they had in life.

● Shuyu is entirely my own creation!!! I made this whole thing up!

● Mountains of personal worldbuilding! A lot of it! It may not all make sense!
