(Jehovah X Cain) Night of Martyrdom

God said, "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends." Every word of this teaching rings true, every line brimming with feeling. Yet, dear brothers and sisters, do not forget this: to the Lord, a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like a day. He is accustomed to looking down on all creation from on high, and has never understood the depths of love. "Love is a reckless wager in which you stake everything. It is madness at its most brilliant, a bitterness caught in your throat, honey you can never taste. It presses upon humanity's most primitive desires. If Heaven means to punish our restless souls through love, testing our devotion with its intoxicating sweetness and decadent splendor, then it is needlessly cruel." The young man's glossy black hair streamed in the wind, tracing a clean, elegant arc. He raised a graceful hand and brushed the wayward strands behind his ear. Only then did he turn his gaze back to the other man and smile openly. "If love makes me steeped in sin, then I willingly fall for its sake."
