A Hilarious Martial World: Peaceful Days

They say that after Pangu created the world, humans began to realize they were human. In that ancient age, there was a small city called Heping, where the people put food above all else. Whoever had the finest cooking skills ruled the world.

And the most famous thing in Heping City, of course, was beef brisket rice noodles!! (Note: Beef brisket rice noodles are a southern Chinese delicacy. Beef brisket, the tender meat from the belly and near the ribs, is cooked with rice noodles in a flavorful soup.)

For thousands of years, the martial world of Heping has been in turmoil. Everyone wants to claim the title of Beef Brisket Rice Noodle Champion. Bloody family feuds play out in the city almost every day. Yet over the centuries, only two families have fought their way to the top: the Dongfangs and the Ximens!

To Dongmen Chuishui, beef brisket rice noodles are what the Sunflower Manual is to Dongfang Bubai. Dongmen Chuishui thinks that if I didn’t know how to make beef brisket rice noodles, maybe I wouldn’t be Dongmen Chuishui. Maybe I’d have been lost among all the other names. He just happened to be born into a family of beef brisket rice noodle makers, happened to inherit Liang Antang, and then happened to begin his career making beef brisket rice noodles in the tiny city of Heping. 



Dongmen Chuishui: There’s too much scheming in the martial world. It really isn’t for me. I think I’ll leave it behind.

Xifang Shibai: Wherever there are people, there’s good food. Wherever there’s good food, there’s a martial world. People are the martial world. How can you leave it?

This is a nonsensical comedy. Fans of Stephen Chow might enjoy it.
