She Is Jiang Ya'er

Everyone in the whole region knows who Jiang Ya'er is. She's practically a monkey reincarnated, an incorrigible troublemaker.

Song Yujin, son of the Vice Minister of the Court of Imperial Sacrifices, is a frail young gentleman with honeyed words and a snake's heart. After a long illness that wouldn't heal, he had no choice but to return to his hometown to recuperate.

By a twist of fate, Jiang Ya'er ended up at the Song family's country residence. She'd hoped to make some money there, but her usual bag of tricks was useless. Instead, Song Yujin kept putting her in her place at every turn.

As time went by, Jiang Ya'er couldn't stand the restraints of the grand estate any longer. She dusted herself off and left.

She vanished without a trace, leaving Song Yujin gnashing his teeth in fury.

When they met again, Jiang Ya'er was bound up like a rice dumpling and dragged before Song Yujin. She cried so hard even her own father might not have recognized her.

"Young Master Song, please be magnanimous. Surely you can't hold a grudge against an ordinary commoner like me."

Song Yujin watched coldly as she wailed like a piglet about to be slaughtered. He flicked the whip in his hand and spoke gently,

"Jiang Ya'er, you've certainly kept me worried all these years."
