My next novel, "Stirring Things Up" / "Don't Push It Too Far," is looking for wish-list additions!
Every time Yan Chu remembers that she owes Lawyer Rong 45 million, she has nightmares that night.
Because she really has no money, yet she once brazenly made a big promise to the man.
Yan Chu has only three wishes: two for herself and one for her creditor.
First, she wants to stay healthy.
Second, she wants her career to take off so she can earn 45 million as soon as possible.
Third, before that happens, she hopes Lawyer Rong's business overseas stays so busy that he has no time to come back to the country! Don't come back! Don't come back! Don't come back!
And yet Yan Chu still found the lawyer's letter from Rong Lu in her mailbox.
The media were all over the business magnate's return to the country.
Yan Chu swallowed her pride and went to ask him to extend her repayment deadline, only to be carried out by several security guards. The next day, she lost her job too.
One day, the media caught the business magnate passionately kissing a woman on the street.
Reporter: "Mr. Rong, does this mean wedding bells are about to ring?" Then they showed him a photo. "With this lady?"
Rong Lu glanced at it, adjusted his glasses coolly, and sneered. "Who is this nobody?"
Later, the old news resurfaced.
Rong Lu declared righteously, "That's my wife!"
(The plot has been changed substantially. If you read the pirated and official versions side by side, it's perfectly normal for them not to match at all.)
Coming soon: "A Second Bloom." Please add it to your wish list!
Blurb
Tang Yin recently got divorced and planned to lie low in a little town down south.
Worried her family would slaughter and stew the goose she had raised out of anger, she brought the big goose Baibai with her to the airport. There, she ran into Wen Song, the campus heartthrob she had once loved but never been able to win.
The goose, with its doglike devotion, seemed to remember its first owner. It flapped its wings and charged over without a shred of dignity.
Tang Yin was mortified and stopped it in time.
Wen Song stared at her goose, brows furrowed, deep in thought.
Tang Yin worried he was about to fight her for custody of Baibai. She picked up Baibai, glared at him warily, and turned to leave.
Wen Song pulled her back. "You've raised this goose well. It's nice and plump."
Tang Yin thought he really did want to take Baibai back. Her jaw clenched as she prepared to speak.
Wen Song: "It must taste good. How much for it?"
Tang Yin kicked him in the shin. "If you think shit tastes good, go buy some."
Wen Song never expected that seeing Tang Yin again would make his heart race. As she was about to walk past him, he lost control for the first time in his life and pulled her back.
She seemed to be in a bad mood. Alone with a goose, she had gone to a little town to make pottery.
Wen Song couldn't help moving closer, about to cross the line.
Bystander: "Wen Song, don't forget, she's a married woman with a child."
Theme: Don't let poverty sway you
I should say I ate a sausage (dog head)
