Teetering on the Brink of Sudden Death

Going premium on April 14. Three chapters that day. Thank you, everyone (bows).

My job is called "Window."

A senior colleague told me it would be easier than working as a government clerk, and I believed them.

I entered a new world where the laws of reality had collapsed.

In some ways, the new job really is easier. I still have time to grab a beer after work, and the pay is good enough to solve my urgent financial problems.

Maybe I shouldn't complain.

That is, if my life weren't in danger.

Thanks. Every day I'm dancing on the edge of sudden death, and I'm thinking about switching back to my old job.

1. The author has a mountain of personal alterations, and the plot may be changed significantly.

2. I'll do my best to write the characters as I envision them, but some out-of-character moments are inevitable.

3. First-person point of view.

Theme: Ordinary people must live bravely, too.
