[The pacing and plot aren't working, so I'm setting this aside for now]
Blurb 1:
“I ran into my former crush at a restaurant just now. He and his friends smiled and said hi, and I immediately burst into tears. But I don't like him anymore! Was that a spectacularly embarrassing moment or what?”
Two weeks after her unrequited crush ended and she sprained her ankle, Zhong Yi finally managed to leave her dorm, only to post about the embarrassing incident on the social-death forum that very day.
The comments came pouring in: “Your words sound cold, but your heart still loves him.”
“No,” her friend commented impassively. “She was crying because the food was spicy.”
Watching Zhong Yi tear up from the spice, pant and gasp for air, and stubbornly keep shoveling spicy chicken into her mouth, her friend added, “Funny girls don't have love lives.”
But after Zhong Yi coolly waved goodbye to her crush and went back to being friends, he wasn't having it.
Blurb 2:
The day Liang Jingyan realized he liked Zhong Yi, he deleted Officer Judy, who hadn't been online for over two years, from his friends list and seriously said goodbye to the past.
Then, one day...
“Zhong Yi, I remember you used to play Game for Peace too. What was your old ID? Let's add each other,” a friend asked.
“I think it was something like Little Judy of P City?” Zhong Yi said with an embarrassed smile. “Zootopia was really popular back then, and I loved Officer Judy. But there's no point remembering it. That account's been banned for over two years.”
Thinking of that smiling bunny whose ID had been Little Judy, the Worst Player in P City, Liang Jingyan felt as if he'd uncovered the truth. He fell silent for the first time in ages.
“Whether now or back then, it turns out that the person I've loved all along has always been you.”
