By the tenth year of the New Era, the surviving humans who had been infected with the virus finally entered a relatively peaceful era.

Xue Dan was born eleven years before the New Era and came of age during the First Dark Decade.

Known throughout the Southeast Alliance for his madness, all he remembered was struggling, surviving, and growing stronger.

To get treatment for the virus, Xue Dan traveled to the more developed Republic of Dawn, where he met a doctor at the forefront of virus research in a clinic.

The doctor's name was Lucas. He stayed by Xue Dan's side through the hardest years.

But Xue Dan never imagined that once the virus had stabilized, this "doctor" would ruthlessly bring about the fall of his Southeast Alliance.

Throughout the First Dark Decade, Lucas remained hidden inside the clinic, perfecting his plan.

As the next chairman of the Republic of Dawn's council, he had even greater ambitions.

For example, unifying the entire continent.

He chose the Southeast Alliance as the starting point for his campaign.
