I woke up as a low-level employee in the government affairs department.
■■ painstakingly finished the complete sword account, and was just about to retire and take the whole citadel to the modern world to enjoy my golden years.
But on the very day I finished packing, the golden finger that had been delayed until now finally arrived.
■■: ...What use are you now! (throws it)
After the worlds merged, the various bugs this caused gave invaders a chance to break in. Monsters sleeping in the deep sea, spiders lurking in narrow alleys, shadows hiding in caves, ghouls roaming the sewers, mutants escaping from laboratories, beings controlled by higher consciousness... To patch up this world, which had more holes than a sieve, They had no choice but to pick up character cards and create one secret identity after another, matching wits with indescribable horrors and repeatedly skirting the edge of having their cards torn up.
Several mysterious outsiders calling themselves "investigators" appeared out of nowhere in Japan: a white-haired cursed spirit with a fear of white hair, possessing superhuman strength and able to punch ten people at once; an innocent human toddler who was actually an evil capitalist, flinging checks in a fit of anger at the slightest disagreement; an extremely antisocial technical support worker outside the official ranks of the Special Division who took off their glasses and became a chaotic fun-seeker, stirring up Yokohama; a lazy great yokai who relied on acting cute to scam people for short-term meals, then shot to fame as an internet celebrity in the cat world...
Through their investigations, the various factions learned that they all belonged to the same organization.
The investigators: It's a sweatshop!

Reader's guide (content warnings):
1. The protagonist's name is unknown, their gender is unclear, and their face is indistinct. No CP, and lots of secret identities (which will get torn up).
2. Contains transformative works and Cthulhu Mythos elements. There are original interpretations and OOC characterization.
3. This story is told from the perspective of unruly players. It is not a proper Call of Cthulhu tabletop game using the official rulebook. The dice have almost no presence, and the game-like elements are heavily reduced. The rules have been extensively modified, the players go out of character all the time, and everyone is nonhuman (?). It is of no use whatsoever as a reference for getting into the game. Keeper's perspective: NoelBaz.
4. The swords really are just background props.
5. A world where only the KP gets hurt has been achieved. √
6. The pacing is slow because the two of us are reviewing the plot.
7. The cover is in progress, really, it's in progress. (collapses)
Theme: Humanity's hymn is a hymn to courage.
It's Boss Dan (convinced)
Could this be someone who deliberately frustrated Nayako? (Bold guess, be careful to verify)
