Yong Lian's simple, uneventful life as a god came to an abrupt end when a BUG appeared in a world experiencing the apocalypse.
Not only did this BUG take out the original hero and heroine, it also managed to wreck the world.
So Yong Lian found a new savior, hoping to steer the world's story back on track. But...
The BUG killed the savior, too.
God: ...Damn it.
She tried all sorts of ways to save the world, but they all failed in the end.
So she decided to take matters into her own hands.
God, rolling up her sleeves: On my 23rd loop, I'll kill you myself.
BUG, smiling: You're finally here on loop 23.
Later, after getting up close and personal with the BUG, the god realized he wasn't quite what she'd imagined.
He risked his life to save the old, the weak, the sick, and the disabled. He risked his life to save the hero when a villain schemed against him. He risked his life to save the heroine when she nearly bit the dust... He was the very picture of a self-sacrificing saint who saved everyone else. So why had he gone dark and wrecked the world in the previous 22 loops?
After witnessing the BUG save people and grow into the apocalypse's beloved dad, the god decided the world was safe and no longer in danger of collapsing, so she planned to fake her death and return to her divine throne. But halfway through, the world once again showed signs of collapse.
God: ??? So what exactly went wrong?
Only later, after she had lost herself in the bargain, did she finally understand.
You are the only thing I believe in, the only thing I want. If I can't have you... I'll wreck the world, QUQ.
A god heroine with a life worse than a corporate drone & a BUG hero who's a madman when the heroine isn't around, but an absolute saint when she is
