He looks at the graceful figure before him, his eyes dark. "Have I done something wrong?"

Gu Zhiwei shakes her head.

He furrows his brow. "Then why?"

Gu Zhiwei clenches her fingers and lowers her lashes. "...You can't force love. I want to try something sweeter."

Jiang Shu: "..."

After a brief silence, Gu Zhiwei hears a ceramic spoon clink against the bowl.

She looks up. Her vision is suddenly filled by a man in pajamas, his collar slightly open and his collarbones exposed.

Before she can react, a hand covers the back of her head, and something soft presses against her lips...

Jiang Shu has taken advantage of his height and long arms to lean halfway across the desk between them and kiss her.

As she struggles to catch her breath, her heart fluttering and her head spinning, Gu Zhiwei hears the man's voice slipping between their lips.
