Gladly Kneeling at the Princess's Feet 2

Under revision From a renowned young general to a traitor despised by all, the Lu family falls overnight, and every member is sentenced to death. On the night before the execution, someone intercepts Lu He'an on the road and spirits her away. It is snowing heavily. Wearing only thin clothes, Lu He'an kneels on the ground and begs the person seated above her to save her parents and clear her name. In the dim room, the person wears a snow-white fox-fur coat and a heavy cloak. Her lowered eyes reflect the cold desolation of the snow. After a long silence, she says, "Come here." For countless days and nights afterward, those thin lips, red as jade, appear in her dreams. As they part and close, a voice as misty as the fog in the mountains rings in her ears, telling her, "Come here." With Shen Lingyu guiding her, she gradually puts her trust in her, even as she systematically eliminates her enemies one by one. Until the day the lies are exposed. . Princess Anning, Shen Lingyu, is known for having "the face of a bodhisattva and the heart of a demon." Every official at court hates her, and every one of them fears her. They hate her high position, cold heart, and ruthless methods. They fear her almost demonic intelligence, her lack of attachments, and her apparent lack of weaknesses. Shen Lingyu believes this about herself too, until that day. Rain pours down. The young woman pierces Shen Lingyu's chest with her sword. Her voice is icy as she says, word by word, though her eyes burn uncontrollably, "From this day on, we are finished. We will be enemies until death." As the guards around them draw their swords and stand ready, Shen Lingyu gazes at her and slowly smiles. So even her heart, still as a dead pond, could be stirred into a storm by the words of the woman before her. All this time, she had planned for every possibility. The one thing she had forgotten to account for was her own heart.
