[Synopsis]

After committing a crime, Xia Nuan was punished and lost everything, becoming a useless wreck who would be out of breath after walking just a few more steps.

In the end, she was exiled to the frontier and dumped in the world of Bungo Stray Dogs, where she struggled to survive as an undocumented outsider.

She had planned to muddle through the rest of her life, but was saved by the King of the Sheep.

Out of gratitude for being saved, and because certain qualities of his reminded her of the one she cherished, Xia Nuan latched onto the King of the Sheep.

Later, she met someone whose appearance was remarkably similar to the one she cherished, and Xia Nuan suddenly felt that the whole world had become beautiful.

After that, one person after another who resembled the one she cherished continued to appear.

Only in the end did Xia Nuan realize that she had someone she cherished in her heart, and saw that person in everyone.

The female lead is a demon, from an original demon race created for this story.

The demons' power is magic, and in my original setting, magic is stronger than supernatural abilities.

Demons are ranked by their magic. If their magic diminishes, their lifespan shortens, and they may even die.

Except for the Demon King, every demon is destined to encounter one person who is their natural nemesis in their lifetime.

They can sacrifice everything for that person, even turn against the world for them.

It's that kind of feeling: "The whole world means less to me than you do."

Many of the original demon characters are adapted from characters in my other stories, though I've made some changes to their settings for this story.

If you've read my Gintama Pet Series, you should have a better idea of the demons' general background.

Even if you haven't read it, that won't affect your enjoyment at all. This story is entirely standalone. I simply really like the demon setting and some of the characters I came up with back then, so I've reused them.

If you have read the Gintama Pet Series, you can think of this story as taking place in another parallel world.

This author likes frail, cute, adorable female leads, but also likes contrasts, so the female lead will be weak at first and unleash her potential later.

Other characters will see the female lead as frail, a little spoiled and willful, fond of acting cute, and somewhat airheaded.

But my writing skills aren't quite up to the task, so the parts written from the female lead's perspective may contain a bit of dark, messy inner thoughts, meaning she may not seem so cute.

Theme: The words of the dying are kind. A demon on the verge of death is the one who finally understands love.
