[To be extensively revised]
Li Xiaogu's biggest dream in life is to earn 2.08 million a day, then lie flat and enjoy a comfortable retirement.
To that end, she started a paranormal livestream, performing exorcisms and spirit-medium rituals for viewers across the country. But no matter what Li Xiaogu tried, her channel never took off. Her follower count went up by one, down by one, up by one, down by one, endlessly repeating the cycle.
Until one day...
While livestreaming, Li Xiaogu accidentally filmed a fellow Taoist priest. Her channel instantly gained over a hundred thousand followers.
Viewers:
"Holy crap, where did that gorgeous guy come from?! Streamer, show us more of him!"
"A handsome guy is the number-one reason to keep living!"
"Streamer, help me get close to him. I'll send you an 888 Big Sword for every time you do."
Li Xiaogu: "!!!"
Why bother exorcising demons and banishing ghosts?! Turns out good looks are the number-one productive force!
Li Xiaogu immediately extended an "olive branch of love" to the young Taoist priest. "Fellow Daoist, want to join my professional exorcism team? Room and board are covered, and I'll even take your photos and retouch them."
Unexpectedly, the young priest gave her a faint smile. "Room and board are covered, and does that include... you?"
Li Xiaogu: "???"
You're handsome, sure, but I suggest you don't get carried away!!!
Before long, with the young Taoist priest's handsome face and superb exorcism skills, Li Xiaogu shot to the top, attracting a million viewers and earning 2.08 million a day.
Once she'd saved enough for retirement, Li Xiaogu decided on the spot to livestream for just three more days before retiring. Her viewers wailed in protest, threatening to storm her house and send her razor blades. In the end, the only footage the reporters got was Li Xiaogu pinning the young Taoist priest beneath her and choking him while exorcising him.
Li Xiaogu: "!!!"
"Listen, I can explain!!!"
Xie Xing: "There's no need to explain. We're exactly what everyone thinks we are."
Li Xiaogu: "???"
Do you even hear yourself?!!!
