You Have to Be Crazy to Debut [NCT]

[The first 17 chapters are about trainee life. Feel free to skip them if that’s not your thing.]

Carefully holding back, under the guise of friendship

Whenever the wind rises, how could my dune not blow toward you?

Liu Renyu, “Unnamed Coast”

A solo female idol blessed by the heavens × a bear-like male idol with unstoppable social skills

*

Lin Yujing is exactly as her name suggests: calm and composed by nature.

With her flawless, delicate features, she is rightly known as the “ice beauty” of the new generation of singers.

Until one day, her fans realized their idol had changed...

At some point,

She had become so good at pouting that fans could practically pick out an entire S.M. building from it.

During livestreams, her facial expressions went into overdrive and her expression control completely fell apart. Even the comedians from the group next door called her a natural.

Her spoilers were off the charts. Her little mouth just went on and on,

And fans watching her livestreams wanted to reach through the screen and cover her mouth, terrified she’d get a three-hour phone call warning from Lee Soo-man...

Her fans were completely baffled: Who was it? Who had corrupted their baby girl?!

Much later, Park Jisung, who temporarily had 22 older brothers, put it this way:

“Originally, the guys just wanted her to step outside her comfort zone. They never imagined...

She’d take one step and leave the whole universe behind.”

It’s already the year 202, can’t SM have one normal person?

Yul Taerong: No way!

Reader’s guide (things to watch out for)

① This is my first attempt at starting a novel. My writing is amateurish, so please steer clear if that bothers you.

② This is a one-on-one romance. Everything is fictional, so please don’t conflate it with real people!!!

③ The female lead is original. The story mainly features NCT, with lots of author-created details, all in service of the plot.

④ The names are intentionally written incorrectly as soundalikes.

⑤ Love and Peace.

Theme: “A lonely planet needs gravity. I need you.”
