[The Walking Dead] Road Movie (Shane/Rick)

Based on the original story, writing this pairing is honestly pretty weird lol, but they’re totally my type. Rick, Lori, and Shane make a love triangle where they all cheat on each other, but no matter what, I really want to give my ship a happy ending.

I rewatched the first two seasons and thought this pairing was so good. My writing is terrible, but I’m diving in anyway. Here I come, rarepair! hhhh

The setup is that Rick transmigrates back to high school and interacts with Shane from a different perspective. But later Rick will return to the world of The Walking Dead, because Shane, who went through everything with him, is the one for him.

Warning: In this story, Shane has a crush on Rick as early as high school.

What happens between Lori, Rick, and Shane is the same as in the original show.

Most of the high school storyline isn’t covered in the show. Any out-of-character writing is my fault.

I won’t bash Lori. I’ll mostly follow the original storyline. She did love Rick once, too, and I’ll give her a happy ending.

The story alternates between the present and the past.

My writing really is terrible. I just want to write a sweet little comfort story for myself. Please don’t scrutinize the canon details. If you don’t like it, please click the X and don’t yell at the author, who’s emotionally fragile. Suggestions are welcome. Muah!

Some optional rambling:

The first time I watched the show, I actually hated Shane. But after watching the seasons that came after his death, then coming back much later to rewatch the first two seasons, I really realized how irreplaceable Shane was to Rick. I also realized that Shane has his own appeal as a character. I don’t remember many of the details from the first two seasons, but I still want to write this. When I first started, I hadn’t even planned to post it, so the plot is entirely based on my personal tastes and has no logic whatsoever. So don’t ask me how the transmigration works.
