Pei Chen is famous in the entertainment industry for his golden mouth. If he says someone will become popular, they definitely will. If he says someone will flop, they definitely will.

Though he's just a pretty face, no fan group dares to offend him.

His comments are usually full of praise, with fans calling him "big brother" this and "big brother" that. Then, unexpectedly, one "odd one out" appeared.

"Mingzhu is my chosen CP!"

Pei Chen became interested and decided to learn about his fans' lives. Curious, he clicked in, and from that moment, a whole new world opened up to him.

Then...

Pei Chen reposted fan art of a popular CP.

Three days later, the two people in the CP posted, "Thanks, everyone. We're together now."

Pei Chen liked a fanfic about a scandalous love-triangle CP.

Half a month later, a melodramatic story broke about two people fighting and one of them crying as they tried to break it up.

Pei Chen commented on a CP video edit, adding, "I'm shipping them so hard!"

Then fans from every side swarmed him:

Please, Teacher Pei, leave us solo fans a way to survive!

2.

When Xie Minglan heard that Pei Chen had started shipping CPs, he was pretty calm.

Even when every CP Pei Chen shipped became a couple, Xie Minglan stayed pretty calm.

Until Pei Chen tentatively started shipping the "Mingzhu" CP of himself and Xie Mingqi, and Xie Minglan couldn't sit still anymore.

Anything else was fine, but this one absolutely wasn't!

"Isn't there a big-budget production in Country A? Send Xie Mingqi to audition."

"As for his upcoming variety show, I'll take his place myself."

3.

Pei Chen and Xie Minglan, who was filling in for his younger brother, appeared on the show together.

At first, everyone was cheerful, even warmly calling Xie Minglan "big brother-in-law" and telling him to take good care of his "sister-in-law."

But as the show went on, things gradually took an unexpected turn.

4.

A few months later, Pei Chen's golden-mouth reputation was broken for the first time: his CP with Xie Mingqi didn't happen, but his CP with Xie Minglan did.
