[Main story complete. My other novel, After the Transmigrated Heroine Stole Everything from Me, is updating daily. Please add it to your collection!]
As a ferocious mermaid, Wen Yao wasn't afraid of a thing when the apocalypse arrived.
After binding herself to a System, Wen Yao discovered she was actually in an apocalyptic novel with no romance, and the System wanted her to save the male lead, who had been killed in the original story.
Wen Yao: "Hmph. He's so useless that one swish of my tail could kill him. All he can do is hide behind me and cry."
After she saved the male lead:
Enemy A: "That little girl looks like she could be killed with one slap. Use her to threaten Ji Cixiu!"
Enemy B: "Pick on the weak! Let's start with that little girl in the wheelchair!"
Enemy C: "That little girl looks like she'd fetch a good price. Let's grab her while her teammates are away!"
Oblivious zombie: "Grrrrr!" (She looks tender and delicious!)
Wen Yao, who could punch a whole crowd of zombies to death and flip a river full of fish with one swish of her tail: ●V● ??? Is that any way to talk to your dad?
Some unknown male lead, Ji Cixiu: So I wasn't reborn to slaughter everyone. I was reborn to give her the chance to slaughter everyone.
The infamous mermaid: Where are today's dried fish? And why aren't you crying yet?
#Help, Mom, that fish is going to beat me to death#
#I was wrong. In my next life, I'll help a thousand old ladies cross the street if it means I never have to meet her again#
#The Zombie Lovers Association issues a strong condemnation#
Notes:
1. A spoiled, domineering fish x a caretaker with overwhelming combat power (a devoted eater x a cook with a pantry full of provisions).
2. The heroine uses a wheelchair at first, but that doesn't affect her fighting ability. Later, her tail turns into legs.
3. The heroine's name comes from the Classic of Mountains and Seas. There are original elements, and the setting is very loosely based on it.
★★A lovely upcoming novel. Visit my author page to check it out!★★
Blurb for After the Transmigrated Heroine Stole Everything from Me:
Yu Xi was suddenly told that she was the original heroine of a transmigration novel, and that the real heroine was the junior sister who had just joined her sect.
According to the book, the junior sister, who had transmigrated into the story and knew what was going to happen, would take everything from her, frame her, replace her, and become the sect's favorite.
In the end, the junior sister really did take everything that belonged to Yu Xi, one step at a time.
Her senior brother, who had been by her side for over a hundred years, said, "I gave the spirit herb to Junior Sister. You're the senior, so you should let her have it."
Her junior brother, whom she had personally brought into the sect, said, "Junior Sister begged me yesterday to give her this spirit pet. Sorry, Senior Sister."
The disciples she had helped countless times said, "Junior Sister is so approachable, unlike Senior Sister."
At last, the junior sister, certain she had successfully replaced the heroine, got everyone to take her side. She demanded that Yu Xi hand over her magic weapon, sever her own spiritual meridians, and repay the sect for all it had done for her.
Yu Xi readily agreed. "Sure."
The very next moment, everyone in the sect was flung out of Taixi Mountain.
The swords in their arms flew out of their sheaths and toward the back mountain.
The cultivation they'd gained from practicing daily at the spirit spring vanished by more than half.
And the plaque that had just read "Lingxiao Sect" was blown to the ground and shattered into pieces.
The rest of the sect: !!!
-
Only after the people of Lingxiao Sect drove their senior sister out of the sect did they learn:
The sword mound they were so proud of belonged to their senior sister.
The spirit spring on the back mountain, so rich in spiritual energy that it could make someone ascend on the spot, belonged to their senior sister.
Even the land where they lived belonged to their senior sister!
The people of Lingxiao Sect regretted it and poured their hearts into trying to bring their senior sister back. But then they discovered that the sect's name had been replaced with that of another mysterious organization.
Legend said the organization was utterly wicked, and that its leader had looted countless cultivation sects over the years.
Just as they were despairing and trying to persuade their senior sister to return to the righteous path, a man wreathed in deathly energy walked out, seemingly toying with their sect's former treasured artifact.
The people of Lingxiao Sect: You thief! You were after our sect's treasure all along!
The man: Hah. Yours? It was just a little trinket Yu Xi gave me.
Yu Xi: [Smiling sweetly] I heard you've been telling everyone you're my kept man?
#Not even eligible for the crematorium arc#
Notes:
1. Perhaps they mean literally pouring their hearts out.
2. Neither lead is perfect. They're not purely good or purely bad.
3. A tongue-in-cheek Mary Sue story.
Recommended: My friend's adorable upcoming novel, The Summoned Duckling on the Verge of Becoming a Spirit, by Yi Dingmo.
Thanks to all the cuties who patiently read to the end! Mwah!
Theme: Even when cornered, find a way to survive.
Ah ah ah ah, beautiful
"Carry Away" catches a big bug for the author~
After watching it, I sprinkled flowers ~ it's very beautiful! !
I, a non-Emirati, actually won the lottery? ? ? ?
Compare it to the bald author
This is my favorite ending.
I really like watching men mess around...
I just discovered that the male protagonist in the advance copy is no longer dressed as a woman, nor is he dressed in a pretty face...
There are still a few chapters left to finish, but I feel like the rest of it is a bit boring.
"Stay here" is a big thorn in the side of the author~ Take it down
