Heavy snow blocked the mountain pass, leaving Zhou Ji and the person she used to have a crush on stranded in an area without signal.
Remembering the mortifying time someone had posted her love letter on the school bulletin board, Zhou Ji sat up straight and tried to sound formal as she cleared the air:
"Um, the car breaking down was purely an accident. Nobody tampered with it."
"Oh." Shen Zhisheng rested his arm on the car window, looking thoughtful. "You can't be sure of that."
Zhou Ji: "?"
A bitter wind sprang up. Through the pale smoke and mist, Shen Zhisheng looked at her. "It might have been me."

"There are so many women at your hospital. Can you stop keeping your eyes on me?"
Shen Zhisheng curled his lips into a smile and gently wiped her eyes, leaning closer. Like a chaste deity fallen into the mortal world, at last ensnared by desire.
"Some people let the whole world know they're pursuing me, then don't even do it properly."
"So I have to help her make good on it."
