The Pet Lover I Share Meals With

Shen Han dated his first girlfriend for four years, only for her to break up with him on the grounds that their families were not of equal status. At a company dinner, Shen Han happens to see his ex proposing to her new girlfriend.

With both his love life and career in tatters, Shen Han gets drunk. On his way home, he sees a golden retriever rummaging through a trash can. Seeing that the dog has met with the same misfortune as he has, Shen Han feels a surge of affection and takes the golden retriever home, ready to spend the rest of his life with it.

Three years ago, Chen Yiran took part in a human modification program. But the lab staff accidentally injected her with a pet serum instead. Since then, she has randomly switched between human and dog form.

"Lucky, let's have Royal Canin today." "No."

"How about a can of beef food for adult dogs?" "No."

"Want to eat mapo tofu with big sis?" "Nods frantically."

One night, Lucky is sleeping in Shen Han's arms when she turns back into a human against her will...

Shen Han (shocked.jpg): "Are you a person or a dog?"

Chen Yiran, helpless: "I'm half human, half dog right now!"

Not long afterward, lab staff take Lucky away. Months later, she returns to Shen Han after fully recovering her human form, only to discover that he's keeping a cat at home.

Chen Yiran: "The cat or me?"
