Xu Zinuo meets three children while volunteering at an orphanage. From the moment he sees them, he feels his heart has been stolen.

One is reliable and mature, one quiet and thoughtful, and one clever and adorable. Xu Zinuo feels these children are gifts from heaven. Overflowing with paternal love, he promises to be with them forever.

From the kids' perspective:

In their previous lives, Xu Zinuo adopted them. Their lives went from wealthy to poor, but Xu Zinuo never once considered giving them up.

They watched Xu Zinuo get hurt and abused by a scumbag, but could do nothing. It was a regret they carried for the rest of their lives.

So in this life, all they want is for Xu Zinuo to find a man who truly loves him and spend his life happily. Chang Wenxuan is the best person for the job.

P.S. 1. A cozy slice-of-life story. Most of it is about the daily lives of the shou and the kids, told from both the shou's and the kids' perspectives. The gong shows up very, very late.

2. Before meeting the gong, the shou will have an ex-boyfriend: the scumbag who hurt him in his previous life. The scumbag won't reform and will get the punishment he deserves. The shou has no intimate contact with him; he is simply given that title! If that's a dealbreaker, please don't read!

3. Some parts are inspired by other works, and some are entirely my own invention. Most of it is made up by the author and isn't meant to be realistic. Please don't relate it to real life or scrutinize it too closely.

A little scene

Jian Wenzhou becomes the town mayor. He goes shopping with the little cat on his head, and the residents always look at him with a strange mix of respect and disbelief. For a long time, Jian Wenzhou can't figure out why.

Then the little white cat turns into a man and says they're from the stars, and that he's the emperor of an empire. A crack appears in Jian Wenzhou's worldview.

Then the little white cat tells him that perching on Jian Wenzhou's head in cat form is a special gesture between partners, and Jian Wenzhou's worldview completely shatters.

He's a grown man who's never been in a relationship, and now he has a partner? And that partner is the emperor of an interstellar empire?!
