The twilight of the gods. The gods are no more.
When the most revered god in the world fell, everyone was ready to laugh at him.
His followers had all abandoned him.
His statues everywhere had been smashed.
Even Heaven could no longer tolerate his presence. All the angels had already happily welcomed another god.
Only Jiang Nian
carried a battered statue of him everywhere, cherishing it in his heart.
He cared for it tenderly and worshipped it.
That was his faith!
At last, Su A awoke to this faint yet powerful summons.
An overwhelming hatred filled his heart.
He fell into darkness, just as everyone had wished... His pristine robes were stained with ink-black darkness, and he gouged out with his own hands the eyes that had shone with golden light.
He was no longer the god everyone believed in. He had become a monster that everyone feared!!!
