Blurb:
Jian Mingzhu used to be a chef at a five-star hotel, specializing in medicinal dishes so exclusive that even money couldn't guarantee you'd get to try them. Chef Jian's name was renowned throughout the industry.
Just as Jian Mingzhu was busy counting her money, an outrageously expensive contract landed in her lap. She counted the zeroes on the page, then regretfully told her many loyal customers, "I'm going to be a private chef now. Don't miss me."
Her new male client was quite a looker, with cool, pale skin, handsome features, a slender build, and a gentle voice. But every few sentences, he'd let out a light cough.
Wen Yuqing held a pristine white handkerchief in his long fingers. He glanced at the tiny spots of crimson staining it and quietly hid them away. "I'm sorry. I've always been frail. I hope I haven't made a spectacle of myself in front of you, Miss Mingzhu."
Jian Mingzhu looked at the client before her, who seemed like Lin Daiyu reincarnated, and gave him a flawless professional smile. "I've seen plenty."
Later, Jian Mingzhu realized she was wrong.
She had never met a client so fragile.
Say something too harsh and he'd shut down. Go out without bringing him and he'd be sad. Get close to another male client and his eyes would turn red.
Jian Mingzhu threw in the towel. She wasn't putting up with this anymore, okay?!
But as she was leaving, the gentlemanly man blocked her at her front door. He coughed up a mouthful of blood, yet still had astonishing strength. Gripping her wrist tightly, he gritted his teeth and said, "If you dare leave, I'll find you, even if I have to search to the ends of the earth!"
This is the story of a big bad wolf in a little white rabbit's skin, devouring the real little white rabbit -3-
I'm Done Pretending, launching in December
One day, Sheng Mingye accidentally broke his mother's perfume bottle. Before danger could strike, he hurried to school to take refuge.
Sitting in his seat, Xu Qingzhi twitched her nose. "Why do you smell like women's perfume?"
Sheng Mingye had finally caught Xu Qingzhi off guard. He spread his invisible peacock fan and leaned toward her, deliberately asking for trouble. "Are you jealous?"
Xu Qingzhi kept her eyes on her physics worksheet, calculating how many seconds it would take the little wooden block to slide to the bottom. Her tone was perfectly even. "I don't care. It just doesn't smell as expensive as mine."
The peacock turned gray. Sheng Mingye had once again managed to disappoint himself. Shoulders drooping, he went back to play Fight the Landlord.
Just then, Xu Qingzhi set a bottle of her perfume on the desk. "Don't come back until you've sprayed enough to smell like it."
Sheng Mingye bounced over, his eyes and brows brimming with springtime delight. And she said she wasn't jealous! His little girlfriend was so possessive. Of course he had to indulge her.
Then Xu Qingzhi regretted it. Sheng Mingye didn't just smell like perfume; in the height of summer, not a single mosquito dared approach their seats. She stuffed paper up her nose and watched coldly as Sheng Mingye dashed around the classroom, telling everyone he saw, "Come smell this! This perfume is fucking expensive."
"Xu Qingzhi is a hedgehog. When I first brought her home, she'd prick you even if you just tried to feed her. But once she realizes how good you are to her, she'll lie belly-up and let you pet her." -- From the Lovestruck Schoolboy's Diary of Chasing His Girl.
Theme: The best fragrance is worth sharing with the one you love.
Fortunately, this couple didn't have sex, otherwise they would have cried to death
It's so cruel. I feel really uncomfortable because I'm not a dog for a reason, but the barrier of not being able to communicate well is the most uncomfortable thing.
