[Premonition]
When Ruan Ling watched mystery films as a child, his eyes would light up. Back then, he sighed, "It would be great to have a special ability, to 'foresee' what will happen in the future."
He had no idea that the words he murmured would accidentally become reality. At seventeen, after both his parents died, he sensed their deaths were murders and secretly wanted to investigate. But reality was cruel. Immersed in the pain of losing his family, Ruan Ling could not move on, until he met Jiang Ye, who was twenty-two.
Jiang Ye was determined never to give up. He came from a single-parent family, and his mother died in a car accident when he was in middle school. Left with no one to rely on, he was taken in when he was down on his luck by an organization called Red Sun. He thought his life was finally about to brighten, but it turned out to be an assassin organization. Its members were all consumed by hatred for society. Jiang Ye was soon influenced by them and gradually became one of their own.
Code name: "1." In the organization, he gained a special ability called "Shift." During one of the organization's operations, he met Ruan Ling. He could strongly sense that Ruan Ling had an ability, and the organization ordered him to get close to Ruan Ling and then kill him.
After Jiang Ye and Ruan Ling met, they slowly fell for each other while investigating the case.
Just as their feelings were growing, Ruan Ling finally broke the silence and learned Jiang Ye's identity.
This is a switch pairing, but the story is told mainly from Ruan Ling's perspective. Fans of either 10 or 01 are welcome. They're both tsundere types who like each other but refuse to say so.
Theme: This story depicts the many hardships faced by children from single-parent families today, and condemns sinners who refuse to repent for the wrongs they have committed.
