[The upcoming novel, The Beautiful Supporting Female Lead's Island Life Raising Kids in The 1970s, will be starting soon. Please add it to your favorites!]
Blurb: After waking up one morning, pampered heiress He Fengjiao transmigrates into a period novel as a love-struck supporting female character who chases after the male lead.
As the prettiest woman for miles around, He Fengjiao can't do heavy labor, but her parents dote on her, and next door lives He Dong, a future business tycoon. This time, she absolutely cannot ruin the good hand she's been dealt.
Just as He Fengjiao is worrying about where her next meal will come from, she unexpectedly gains access to a supermarket storage space, stocked with rice, flour, meat, and more!
He Fengjiao gradually helps her family achieve a comfortable life with plenty to eat and drink, only to discover that the future tycoon is living in dire poverty.
He Dong, sent down to a cowshed, always has a cold, unapproachable air. But the village beauty next door smiles sweetly at him every day and brings him food and drink.
One night beneath a sky full of stars, He Dong angrily pins her against a wall and grabs her wrist. "I'm poor. I have nothing to repay you with, so stay away from me."
Tears glisten in He Fengjiao's big, dark eyes as she pouts, "You're being mean to me!"
Later, one day, He Dong uses every bit of tenderness he has to gently wipe the tears from the corner of her eyes. "Be good, Jiao Jiao. Don't cry."
Her cousin, who had been overshadowed by He Fengjiao all her life, is reborn. She waits for He Fengjiao to come to a bad end, but who could have guessed that this time around, He Fengjiao would seem to have a cheat code?
While she's busy sucking up to the original novel's male lead, He Fengjiao is feasting on good food.
While she sleeps only three hours a night to get into college, He Fengjiao becomes the province's top scorer.
And just when she finally manages to marry the original novel's male lead, He Fengjiao has already opened several supermarkets and is being spoiled rotten by that mysterious tycoon...
*A warm, everyday-life story*
Upcoming novel: The Beautiful Supporting Female Lead's Island Life Raising Kids in The 1970s
Blurb: After waking up one morning, fair-skinned beauty Ye Zhi transmigrates into a period novel as a tragic supporting female character.
In the original story, she was a stepping stone on the male lead's path to success. He was a widower raising a child, and she eagerly volunteered to be his stepmother. He worked hard to take the college entrance exam, and she managed the household for him. At last, when he moved to the city and she thought they could finally live a good life, his first love returned and he kicked her out with a single sentence. Ye Zhi, unable to have the love she wanted, turned into a wicked supporting character and died miserably.
Given another chance, Ye Zhi is asked by her parents, "Your grandfather arranged a childhood betrothal for you. Will you marry him?"
Ye Zhi: "I will!"
If she's going to marry someone, she might as well marry her betrothed. At least he's handsome, he's an officer, and she won't have to worry about food and clothing.
Lu Wei, stationed on an island, receives a telegram from home: "You've got a wife. Come back at once!"
When the prettiest, most delicate girl for miles around, Ye Zhi, marries the fearsome Lu Wei in a flash and says she'll follow him to his island posting, everyone is convinced she'll be back in tears within three months.
The families on the island watch Lu Wei bring home his bride and all shake their heads. She's so delicate, a single typhoon will blow her away.
Later, the couple's yard is home to chickens and a vegetable garden, and two children have joined the family.
Theme: Prosperity and friendship.
This is my favorite style of period novels. I like this kind of simple and clear period novels with direct male and female protagonists and meaty characters. It's enjoyable and relaxing to read.
A sweet story that I read in one sitting
I like it, it's finally finished~Spread flowers
It's smooth, but the second half is too rough.
The emotions written here are quite full, but I feel that there is no need to deal with it as if it is life or death. Even if the man returns to Beijing, can he still marry the woman? In those days, there was no rule that two people had to have their registered residence in the same place before they could get married. Even if there is no such thing as college entrance examination, the two of them can definitely get married and go to Beijing to live together. Can the hero's mother still dislike this daughter-in-law? So I don't understand why such a simple thing is like a life-or-death drama? Or if the female protagonist fails to pass the college entrance examination, the male protagonist stays with her? Funny?
