Only after Wen Junyan died did the Heavenly Dao tell him that he had been living in the world of a story. His entire sect had been wiped out for no reason beyond serving as a plot device to frame the male lead, Ji Rongmo, as a demon.
Only then did he realize that his boundless hatred and his tireless attempts to take revenge on Ji Rongmo had been nothing more than an insignificant stepping-stone on the male lead's path to growth.
Wen Junyan's whole life had become a complete joke!
And yet the Heavenly Dao forced him to be reborn before any of it happened, binding him to a Joy System and making him raise the male lead Ji Rongmo's happiness score. He could use the points to change his sect's fate.
Because the story ended with Ji Rongmo, the male lead, growing weary of the world's dullness and destroying it single-handedly.
The Heavenly Dao tried to save itself by forcing Wen Junyan to act as the male lead's lackey. But why would Ji Rongmo, the chosen one, need Wen Junyan to curry favor with him? He could stumble upon heavenly treasures whenever he pleased, and accidentally find the cave abode of a powerful cultivator just as easily.
And yet, Wen Junyan looked at all the cultivation resources Ji Rongmo kept placing in his hands, along with the System notifications announcing an increase in the male lead's happiness score each time he accepted them.
So who exactly is trying to please whom? Did the System get it backward?
A protagonist determined to change his fate x a world-weary, disillusioned male lead split into fragments (the Heavenly Dao and the System are also fragments of the male lead)
A sweet cultivation story where the protagonist seems to dote on the male lead, but the male lead is actually the one doting on him.
Synopsis for "My AI Brother Finds Me a Partner [Full Immersion]":
In 2050, the first full-immersion online game, "A Hundred Schools of Thought," burst onto the scene, catapulting Zhi Shen, the company that licensed the game, to the number one spot in the gaming industry.
But no one knew who owned "A Hundred Schools of Thought," and a rumor about the game had circulated for years.
They said that even new players could accept the "Find the Treasure" quest, and that the ultimate reward for completing it was ownership of the game.
Everyone eagerly pursued the quest, except Chi Xuhan, who ignored it completely and, after entering the game, refused to leave the beginner's village.
That was because Chi Xuhan alone knew the quest wasn't really about winning ownership of the game. It was a matchmaking process organized by the central AI of "A Hundred Schools of Thought," a full-immersion game, who was also his younger brother. The AI was searching for a lifelong partner for him.
"A Hundred Schools of Thought" is a full-immersion game where players take on professions based on the Hundred Schools, with a historical setting.
Sickly scholar protagonist x serious, devoted CEO male lead
Theme: Human will can overcome fate
"The enemy who came to you to avenge the murder of my father's enemy" is a big bug for the author~ Isn't it a bit unreasonable?
