Who says the Prison of Deep Seclusion is a bad place? It’s wonderful!
As a Vidyadhara who’s been wandering far from home, Xixi says getting thrown into the Prison of Deep Seclusion feels just like coming home.
Everyone in there is a real character. The people on the left are trying to boil the ancient sea of Bōyue with a rapid-boil kettle to scald the Ambrosial Arbor, while the folks on the right have had the bright idea to buy a huge supply of wheat○su, pass it off as a blessing from the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus, and sell it to them at a premium. Every now and then, Xixi can even sense the lingering presence of Imbibitor Lunae deep inside. Steamed oysters!
After years away from home, Xixi was dozing in a pool just like the one in the ancient sea of Bōyue when someone came down hard on them out of nowhere.
Bad news: Lord of Eternal Joy had been here.
Worse news: It seemed Lord of Eternal Joy hadn’t left yet!
After hauling the short-life species who-knows-why was in the water out of the pool, Xixi picked at the mask on their face and fled the scene.
The next day, Xixi successfully landed a job at the local evilest organization as an "escaped convict."
They started the job in the morning, and their top boss was gone by the afternoon.
"Are you the new recruit who got the previous boss killed?" The somewhat familiar young man smiled from ear to ear. "You look familiar~"
Xixi: Not smiling.
