Naruto Prequel: Survive

A hapless twenty-two-year-old woman had read the Naruto manga through the end of Part One and the Kakashi side story when, for no reason at all, she found herself in an unfamiliar world. At first, she had no idea where she was. All she knew was that she had taken over the body of a three- or four-year-old child. When she woke up, she found herself surrounded by corpses. All she wanted in this world was to stay alive, so why was it so difficult?

It wasn't until she met the future Legendary Sannin of Konoha that she realized she'd been born at the worst possible time: the darkest era, when killing was at its most merciless!

She wants to live. She just wants to live! She decides she can't let others slaughter her at will, and resolves to become Tsunade's student. But Tsunade turns her down. After enduring countless hardships, the unlucky girl finally makes it to Konoha and, at last, gets the Third Hokage's approval. But after graduating from the Ninja Academy, why is she assigned to Orochimaru? No! She hates snakes more than anything and is terrified of them! Namikaze Minato, help me!

I originally wanted to write something more lighthearted, but the Dark Era really does live up to its name.

How is a little girl with a child's body but an adult's mind supposed to survive? She faces the world's cruelty and danger head-on, and comes close to death several times. She realizes that nowhere in this world is safe. You can only be an ordinary bystander in a peaceful world. She has to learn to protect herself, because she just wants to live!

Note: The beginning is pretty angsty, but things settle down once she gets to Konoha! The male lead is confirmed to be the Fourth Hokage, Namikaze Minato. Please make sure you know that before jumping in! Thanks again!!
