Lu Xun, male, seventeen years old, the aloof gong lead of an old-school tragic romance novel. According to the plot, a transfer student will become his deskmate in his second year of high school.
That student is the shou lead, Su Ning.
They'll launch into a several-hundred-chapter saga of physical and emotional torment, then get a happy ending after a whole string of melodramatic plot twists involving car accidents, amnesia, and organ theft. But on the day school starts, Lu Xun suddenly learns the novel's plot and stays up all night reading it.
Lu Xun, a model student of the twenty-first century, declares: "Know the law, understand the law, obey the law: let's start with me!"
Be a good young person in the new era!
So,
When the shou lead is bullied at school, he steps in, calling the police while casually explaining the criminal code to everyone.
"You've violated Article 234 of the Criminal Law, intentional assault; Article 292, affray; and Article 293, provoking trouble. Anyone aged sixteen or older is criminally responsible for their crimes."
"Are you going to turn yourselves in, or should I help you do it?"
When the shou lead's wicked relatives try to seize his inheritance, Lu Xun hires a lawyer and takes them to court. A touch of warmth flickers in his cold gaze. "Don't worry. It'll be all right."
The childhood friend who is his white moonlight, gravely ill, kidnaps the shou lead and plans to take his kidney for a transplant. Lu Xun brings a whole group of police officers to send him to jail.
"What he did is against the law. With me here, you don't have to be afraid!" Lu Xun awkwardly tries to comfort the shou lead, who's trembling in fear against his chest.
Only after they get together does the shou lead learn that Lu Xun's aloofness was all an act.
Hugging a little shark pillow, Lu Xun looks at him innocently and says with complete conviction, "Maybe I pretend to be aloof, but I'm genuinely outstanding!"
"I don't want them laughing at me for being a childish idiot."
