After A Jiao Was Deposed

Chen A'jiao transmigrates. The good news is that she's become an empress. The bad news is that she's just been deposed. According to the historical records, after her deposition, she couldn't accept it and spent a fortune asking Sima Xiangru to write an elegy that might win the emperor back. But Liu Che didn't change his mind. Instead, he immediately made Wei Zifu empress. After that, Chen A'jiao cried herself to sleep every day, and eventually died of despair. Chen A'jiao: I could spend that fortune on anything. Why waste it on a dog of an emperor? So Chen A'jiao sends someone in the middle of the night to tell her mother, the Grand Princess, that she's accepted her fate. She doesn't want to fight for the emperor's favor anymore. She just wants some peace and quiet. To pass the time, Chen A'jiao finds an empty plot of land and plans to grow some crops. But there are so many things they lack in this era. So she "invents" paper, improves the way they cook, puts noodles, stir-fried dishes, and castrating pigs into practice, and increases crop yields per mu. Liu Che: A'jiao really went to great lengths to win me back. Wei Qing: Empress Chen is surprisingly talented. Wei Zifu: Is my position as empress still secure? The Grand Princess is overjoyed: My A'jiao has finally gotten some brains! She knows how to win by taking the roundabout route! Chen A'jiao is completely baffled: Was that what I meant? Theme: Even when faced with adversity, never give up hope.
