Recently, a young woman set up a fortune-telling stall with the old folks under the overpass.
She put down a little reclining chair, lay back in it, pulled her hat over her face, and went to sleep.
In front of her was nothing but a battered piece of cardboard. Written on it in marker were the words: "A thousand yuan per reading. Answers to every question in life. Fair to young and old alike."
The old folks all shook their heads. That was a bold price. They were only fifty themselves, and she was charging a hundred yuan. Wasn't she afraid someone would beat her up?
Later, all they could do was watch as the young woman's stall grew more and more popular.
A delivery guy dropping off an order.
Lin Wuyang: "Tsk. You've got a dark cloud over your head. Bad luck is coming your way."
A beautiful college student: "Master, lately I've kept dreaming that a female ghost is chasing me."
Lin Wuyang: "The hair extensions you just got are hers." So of course she's chasing you.
The female lead's name comes from the line "May Heaven's profound grace keep you safe" in "Nine Laments" from the Songs of Chu.
Theme: Do no evil, and practice every good deed.
