This story was actually a birthday gift for my reader Tatay.
The character Yao is in her name, so the protagonist is a little girl named Yao. And since she's very fond of Uncle Hao, I added Mr. Hao while working out the story.
As I wrote, it turned into a story told from her point of view, watching how everyone in Slight Worries lived their lives afterward.
Bao and Qingling will of course end up together. I mainly wanted to show what happened in everyone else's lives.
In the first chapter, I explain how things turn out for Uncle Hao and Ayako. I've always thought Ayako was the smartest person in all of Slight Worries. She knows what she wants and how best to pursue it. Her way of slipping in like the wind at night and silently moistening all things suits her perfectly.
The second chapter hints at where Juzhu and A Sheng end up: adopting a cheerful little girl just like Xia Shu.
The third chapter, with its brief exchanges, also shows how I imagine things turning out for Lianyi and Shanyu. They won't be together, but that doesn't mean they don't love each other. Love and responsibility: I don't want to see people cowardly abandon their responsibilities for love. That's not the Lianyi and Shanyu I have in mind.
And in the final chapter, my dear little girl, I wish you a lifetime of peace and happiness. This is for everyone I love and everyone who loves me. We don't need so many twists and turns in life. Simple, ordinary happiness is all I could ever hope for.
