The Turning of an Era

My column also features the completed historical romance Twin Hairpins.

Across the land of Jiuzhou, all things are born from spirits.

In ancient times, the gods fought among themselves. The dragons emerged victorious, beginning a thousand years of exploitation and oppression.

The people could no longer endure it and rose up in revolt. They wiped out every "spirit" in the world, cutting off the dragons' "food supply."

Though they slew a thousand enemies, they lost eight hundred of their own. The land of Jiuzhou fell silent for over a thousand years.

A thousand years later, a prophecy foretold that a new ruler would rise in Jiuzhou: the Primordial God. "When the Primordial God appears, all bones will wither."

Who, exactly, is this Primordial God?

And what will become of the people of Jiuzhou?

Theme: Eras turn, and the crown passes from one to another.
