In the same dorm, Chu Siyan was the most unusual one.
Long bangs hiding his eyes, black-rimmed glasses, worn-out shirts or plain white tees, faded jeans, and shoes stitched by hand. His life followed the same three-point route every day: classroom, cafeteria, dorm. Every Friday, he went home without fail, rain or shine, and never attended group meals or other social activities.
"Chu Siyan must be really poor!"
"Poor, and extremely proud!"
Yeah, even when people offered to treat him to meals or trips, he refused to go.
Everyone said Chu Siyan was socially anxious and insecure.
But Qi Xiaoran didn't think so.
How could someone who was socially anxious and insecure snap back at people without holding anything back, always stand ramrod straight, and make everyone feel that even with his head lowered, he was simply ignoring them all as equals?
As the campus heartthrob, Qi Xiaoran had been the most dazzling guy since the start of the school year. Everyone was happy to be his friend, except Chu Siyan.
Chu Siyan kept his distance from everyone equally, and was especially unwilling to have anything to do with him.
Whenever they were in the same place, Chu Siyan was always the one farthest away from him! If they didn't have to share a classroom for lectures, he'd keep far enough away that Qi Xiaoran couldn't even see him.
"Chu Siyan, are you really that conscious of my presence?"
"Qi Xiaoran, narcissism is an illness. Get it treated."
That was the longest thing Chu Siyan had said to him in two years.
All right, Qi Xiaoran admitted it: Chu Siyan really wasn't interested in him. He was the one who couldn't stop thinking about the glimpse he'd once caught of his roommate's waist and the alluring beauty mark on the back of his neck...
And Chu Siyan's voice sounded so much like the voice of Little Flame, who had stood him up all those years ago.
But that was impossible. Little Flame had been bold and brash, with a fiery temper. Their personalities were as different as night and day.
Qi Xiaoran thought he and Chu Siyan would spend all four years barely speaking to each other, until an accident caused them to switch bodies.
"Holy crap?? Chu Siyan lives in a mansion that costs six figures per square meter, and his bank balance has nine digits??"
"Wait, he plays rock music and drums?! He's raced cars, climbed Mount Everest, gone speed flying, and won prizes worth seven figures??"
"Who said he had no friends? His main account is already full, and handsome guys and pretty girls keep adding him and trying to tempt him out to have fun..."
Qi Xiaoran was jealous. "You're so good at having fun. Why won't you have fun with me?"
Chu Siyan, wearing his face: "..."
