This story is based primarily on the 2019 TV series, with the original Jin Yong novel as a secondary source. The two are mixed together in complicated ways. The general rule is not to change the original plot, so those who are supposed to die will still die (except for a certain Left Envoy's wife), and the tragic parts will still be tragic.
Characters may be out of character. In my mind, Fan Yao is an optimistic guy, and I just love watching him cause a ruckus.
The story is told mainly from Fan Yao's point of view.
Most characters end up with their canon pairings. Poor Fan Yao gets a female love interest from me, but she won't appear until much later and won't have many scenes.
This is my first time writing a wuxia story, so I'm not familiar with the phrasing and vocabulary. Please forgive me if the style feels strange.
