[Hikaru No Go] The Time We Walked Together

They were both only nine when they first met.

They were both fifteen when they met again.

Tangled together, impossible to separate, their story was a knot no one could untie. Shiguang joked that they were fated to be a disaster for each other.

Their explosive, humiliating start was impossible to leave behind, impossible to let go of. Yu Liang could only bow his head and accept his fate.

When trying to save a wayward boy, Yu Liang said they should let everything go and treat it as a stretch of time that had never happened.

But Shiguang knows, and so do we: the time we spent together was blessed by the heavens.

Will Shiguang tell Yu Liang what happened during that time?

We have no way of knowing.

The growth of two boys, and watching them grow, was the author's original wish in writing this story. Across thirty-six episodes and nine years, the bond between the Twin Stars deepens throughout the years they spend together. Because there is light, there is brightness.

Strictly follows the events of the drama, with extensive material from the original. The author isn't great at finishing stories and wrote this simply out of love. I love Shiguang, Yu Liang, and Liangguang. There may be a continuation beyond the nine years, depending entirely on the author's mood.

Theme: Because there is light, there is brightness.
