When the Yandere Male Lead Falls for a Slacker Shut-In

Tan Xiaozai had lived for over a decade. She graduated from high school just shy of twenty and was about to enter college when a strange man intercepted her at her coming-of-age ceremony and confessed his love. Having never been confessed to before, Miss Tan accepted at once, beaming with joy.

And then? Her happy life came to an end.

Jiang Yu was over twenty. He seemed, perhaps even actually, to come from a wealthy family, and he was devastatingly handsome. For some reason, he went blind and fell for the heroine. He made a heartfelt confession at her coming-of-age ceremony, and seemed to be a psychological case as well. He needed appointments with both an ophthalmologist and a neurologist.

And then? His happy life began.

Is this really a romance novel guaranteed to have a happy ending?!

A few things to know before reading:

* The male lead is yandere. Truly yandere: a psychologically twisted, jealous, fallen-into-darkness big bad wolf puppy. He comes from a wealthy family, has a crooked moral compass but a perfect face, and loves the heroine to a degree you might find hard to accept. Of course, there's a reason for it. You'll understand as you read on.

* The heroine is a goofball, outgoing on the surface and a shut-in at heart. In reality, she's socially adept, emotionally intelligent, and great with people, but she's not happy, and she's both gloomy and a mess. She has bisexual tendencies, a low sex drive, and was raised from childhood to be averse to sex. She has an extremely strong attachment to fictional characters. In short, she's no more normal than he is.

* The male lead turns dark later on, with some mildly hardcore scenes, such as confinement, but this is a very sweet story with a happy ending.

* To make sure both leads are imperfect and flawed, please don't expect too much of either of them at the start.

* The male lead's values in the story do not represent the author's. Some of the heroine's opinions may reflect the author's own.
