A floating corpse discovered in a park, pedestrians vanishing at midnight in one district, a thousand-year-old corpse in Kunlun that has lain undisturbed and never decayed, and the White Snake of West Lake bewitching the world. One bizarre event after another reveals the truth behind a great war fought millions of years ago. What secrets are hidden inside the Mausoleum of the Three Ancestral Gods? A disciple of the Heavenly Emperor, a lay disciple of the Zhengyi Sect, and a Chinese police officer are all drawn into a long-buried affair that has been planned for ages. The trio will gradually lift the veil, but is the truth beneath the fog real, or merely an illusion arranged by someone? No one knows.
