This is a writing exercise. If I really went by the order I wrote them, this would actually be my first novel: something I played around with in a Word document, but never posted. After signing a contract, I dug it up, continued writing, and published it because I wanted to keep a record of it. I don't mind if it becomes an embarrassing relic, and no one would care about the embarrassing work of an obscure writer anyway.
So the prose is even more childish than the title. Please be kind and don't flame me. Just quietly close the page, dear. My collection count has already taught me a lesson.
I really don't recommend reading this. I locked it and then unlocked it because of my compulsive habits. I didn't want a withered tree showing up in my author's profile.
Feel free to check out my completed and ongoing novels instead. Run, run!
If you're still curious about this embarrassing relic, here's the blurb:
When Song Shiyu pursued that young woman, none of his friends thought it would work out.
First, with his looks, he could take his pick. Why go looking for trouble? She was also a few years older than him.
Second, that young woman seemed... a little off in the head.
Later, his public displays of affection had his friends stuffed to the brim every day.
Who could have guessed that she was actually his senior, once a famous figure on campus?
Just when everyone thought the two of them would go on showering each other with affection forever,
they broke up?!
Their relationship had started slowly, but ended incredibly fast.
His friends worried he would fall into a slump, but he calmly got on with his work.
With him acting so calm, surely the two of them had no future together...
After suffering a severe head injury and temporarily losing her memory, the young woman eyed everyone warily, except him.
She said, "Shiyu, I know you. I've seen your name on a box I treasure."
That box, if he remembered correctly, was the "one of a kind" gift he'd given her.
He'd seen it by a trash can and thought she'd thrown it away, along with all his feelings. But she said she had treasured it.
What do you do when your temporarily amnesiac self gives you away? Asking online. It's urgent.
Han Qi had spent her first twenty-odd years living cautiously and carefully, yet still failed to hold on to the life she wanted.
During a bleak, ordinary stretch of her life, she met a handsome young man who insisted on getting close to her.
Han Qi wasn't shallow. She rejected him clearly again and again,
until he became her "light,"
pulling her out of her depression and confusion and making her face the reality she'd been avoiding.
My family is back. We can make up for the time we lost, and I'm here too.
Content warning: Older woman-younger man romance, with a five-year age gap. The female lead doesn't repeatedly agonize over the age difference.
Theme: One of a kind
This is the most miserable thing I have ever seen. Commenting that Doucai is too pitiful??
