The Lazy Master's Starting-Point Disciples

Shen Yu never imagined she'd be so unlucky. She'd been a carefree rich kid, but now she'd transmigrated into the body of a poor farm girl eloping in ancient times. Her clothes were patched, and her house was drafty. What kind of hell mode was this?

Luckily, she had good fortune and found a System. The two of them spent a few miserable days together, then soon became prosperous.

After making it big, Shen Yu said, "I can't stand all these ridiculous rules of ancient times. Being an apprentice is just like being someone's servant."

System: [Exactly! If everyone keeps their knowledge to themselves, how is society ever supposed to progress?]

What could you expect? Shen Yu was a warmhearted slacker. She decided to be a good teacher. Whatever her disciples wanted to learn, she would teach them, without holding anything back.

Her eldest disciple learned the most. He was equally skilled in literature and martial arts, fit for court or battlefield, and could even do laundry, cook, chop firewood, raise horses, sew clothes, and style hair... He loved roaming the world with her and helping her teach her disciples. He was the best eldest senior brother anyone could ask for.

Her second disciple turned out great too. He went straight into rebellion and became a king.

Her third disciple was in the middle of a rebellion...

Her fourth disciple was a famous general, and joined the second disciple's rebellion...

Her fifth disciple...

There were more than a dozen small kingdoms in the realm. Among Shen Yu's disciples, four had rebelled, more than ten were renowned generals, and over twenty were strategists... They fought fiercely, openly and behind the scenes, trading blows back and forth.

Shen Yu stood in the wind, melancholy. "How did I teach them in the first place? I don't remember."

Her eldest disciple stood behind her, perfectly calm.

"Master, you said, 'Are kings, nobles, generals, and ministers born to their station?' You said, 'The people are the foundation of a state, and a state can be overturned by its people.' You also said, 'Everyone is equal, and everyone should have the chance to receive an education'..."

"I taught them all that...?" Shen Yu didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Back then, she'd warmly welcomed them into her school, then let them grow as they pleased, like a slacker. She hadn't expected them all to grow so vigorously.

The System summed it up: [Half the credit still goes to your eldest disciple. You provide the guiding principles, and he makes sure they're carried out. You light the fire, and he fans the flames. Perfect teamwork. Hurry up and praise him.]

Theme: Cherish the hard-won opportunity to learn.
