[Bungo Stray Dogs] Becoming a Manga Artist in Yokohama

[I realized the plot went off track later on. I'll rewrite it when I have time.] Kishitani Shinji had always dreamed of drawing shonen manga, but everything he drew flopped. Taking his senior's advice to draw inspiration from real life, he created a harem manga where every character fell for the protagonist. It became an instant hit. Shinji: ... What was he supposed to do? He couldn't even be happy, because... The protagonist of the harem manga was based on him! And all those gorgeous girls... were gender-swapped versions of his friends! Today's trending topics: #Don't you think Tsushima Osamu is such a flirt!# #Chujo Mari's innocent act is totally fake!# #Hirai Ayumi is such an annoying character# #Tsukino Atsuya is way too stupid# #The fiery little Akutagawa is so cute, I want her# The more Shinji read, the more he trembled. Stop insulting them, please, stop! If you have to insult someone, insult me! The characters you're insulting are all backed by powerful people I can't afford to offend! Discussions of the harem manga online were all ship wars and relationship analysis. Even the author himself was starting to believe them. The more he read, the more something felt off... Holy crap! Why did their analysis sound so real? After reading it, he couldn't look at his friends the same way anymore! Shinji: Are you all lusting after my body? Everyone else: ? He regretted it. He regretted it so much. If only he'd known, he wouldn't have chosen the names so carelessly. At least then the truth might have come out a little later. Before everything came crashing down, all he could do was... work hard to earn a living! And keep drawing manga in constant fear! Theme: The self and the true self
